EPISODE 3, SEASON 1 - MUHTESEM YUZYIL TRANSLATION!

The aghas bring food for Hurrem and she says I am not a Sultan and he says, no, you are the Sultan of my heart...then he gives her something to eat to "make her come to her senses" he jokes. Then he says: "What beauty is this? What a face is this? What fragrance?!  Muhibbi has become, in a moment, crazy for you...what love! what pain! What temperament?" Hurrem says it is beautiful and asks what it is and Suleyman says it is a poem, they call him Muhibbi, it is one of his poems. She says who is Muhibbi? He says, "I don't know who is he?" (Suleyman's pen name when writing poems was Muhibbi).

The Hungarian King receives a messenger from Suleyman and agrees to meet him. 

Meanwhile, Hurrem wants Suleyman not to go, but he says I must go, the State affairs cannot wait, and he says she is like a child, and to be ready for tonight he will come back and she says there is too much time for that. She looks at her ring and is happy...

The messenger gives the letter from Suleyman to the Hungarian King, and he does not like what he hears saying he is not a Sultan in this palace and the messenger says Sulan Suleyman is not a Sultan of only the Ottoman lands, but of all the world! This angers the King who cuts off his head. Mahidevran is telling her son to stop resisting every morning for school, he has to go to learn. Hurrem leaves the Sultan's room and comes across Mustafa who is running around. He says he wants to go see his father, she says, oh you can't, meanwhile, Mahidevran is tellign Gulshah that the Sultan has named Alexandra Hurrem...Mustafa asks who Hurrem is and Hurrem tells him Hurrem and that she knows his father and Mahidevran catches them and tells  her to let go of her child, then she sees the ring and says how dare you take my ring? Hurrem says the Sultan gave it to me, and Gulshah pulls Mahidevran away, and Mahidevran faints. Mustafa wonders what has happened to his mother...

Valide is visiting Mahidevran who is crying in her room. Valide asks what has happened, and Gulshah explains that they came across the Russian Slave and it happend and Valide asks did they speak? and Gulshah lies tht she did not hear and Valide says she is lying. The doctor comes with Daye Hatun and the doctor examines Mahidevran. Hatice says she is doing bad. Hurrem meanwhile goes back to the cariye's quarters. Maria asks her what happened.? Hurrem says she didn't do anything, that Mahidevran saw this ring...Ayshe and Maria are taken aback by the ring. Ayshe comments that it is an emerald ring. Made by the Sultan himself. They look at it jealously. 

Valide finds out that Mahidevran is pregnant. Everyone is happy to hear it, especially Mahidevran. Valide asks for sweets to be distributed. Valide tells them to bring Mustafa so he can see that his mother is well. 

Later, Hurrem sees the sweets and juice being distributed and asks what is going on and Ayshe tells her that Mahidevran is pregnant. Hurrem drops the cup from shock...Ayse asks her if she understood and then she laughs at her...

Valide has gone to tell the Sultan the news about Mahidevran's pregnancy. Suleyman is very happy. Suleyman tells his mother to come and choose some jewels for her with him as a gift...

Hurrem is moping about the pregnancy with Maria, and Ayse approaches. She says drink it, drink it, and pushes the cup at Hurrem...and Hurrem throws it at her face. They start fighting and Hurrem gets in trouble. 

Mustafa visits his mother and Hatice is there as well, they hug and then Suleyman enters, Mustafa goes off with Hatice and Suleyman and Mahidevran are alone. Mahidevran looks angry as he asks how she is, he has a gift for her, she lets him put it on, but not very happily. Suleyman says that she made him very happy, and she asks why - and then she says why did you do that? Why did you give my ring to her? And Suleyman says I wanted to. That's how I saw it fit.

Meanwhile, Daye hatun is yelling and sends Ayshe and Hurrem to their rooms. Nigar stops Hurrem and tells her that for Gozde cariyes (slave girls), this type of behaviour does not fit them. The other cariyes get to go try to catch the gold coins being thrown from the balcony above...

 Hatice and Gulfem are throwing gold coins from above and tells Mustafa he will have a sibling and Mustafa says he doesn't want one, and they should stop throwing coins. 

Mahidevran looks at herself in the mirror in her room as Gulshah watches. She asks her why they came to this palace? Her love has become Sultan, but she lost his love...She cries and says help me....

That night, Mustafa is with his father and Ibrahim and there are fireworks...Mustafa is quiet and Suleyman asks him why and he says he doesn't want to hear the fireworks and that he doesn't want a sibling. Suleyman says there is nothign nicer to have in this world, than a sibling and Suleyman says look, Ibrahim is my brother and Mustafa says no, he is not your brother, he is your servant! Ibrahim says he will leave.

He goes out to the balcony and recalls that he will always be between heaven and hell, a servant...

Hurrem is getting ready to go meet Suleyman and Ayshe tells her he is not waiting for you tonight...not at all. Hurrem tells her to be quiet. Nigar hears her through the door...

Suleyman finds Ibrahim at the balcony and tells him that Mustafa is too small, he doesn't know what he is saying and Suleyman says you are closer to me than my brother and Ibrahim says that do not be sad, Hunkarim. Suleyman leaves and Ibrahim is left alone again...with tears in his eyes...

Hatice meanwhile watches from below, but Ibrahim has just left...Gulfem tells her does she want some milk with honey before sleeping, but Hatice says she is not sleepy, and that later they will have fruit...Gulfem says I have seen you and him the way you look for each other. 

Hurrem walks in the Sultans corridor and comes across Ibrahim, she smiles and bows. He looks at her and then at Nigar and says "to where? you cannot come without word here, return at once!" Hurrem says that Suleyman is waiting for her and Ibrahim steps in front of her. "When I say go, you will go when I say come, you will come, do you understand Hurrem hatun? Now go!" Hurrem's smile fades away and she frowns and says: "Who are you? Sultan Suleyman is waiting for me?" Nigar tells Hurrem to come with her, but Hurrem refuses. Ibrahim yells at Nigar to take this crazy woman away, tells her Suleyman is busy and they leave. Mahidevran is holding her child in her arms and Suleyman is with them. He says that she doesn't want a brother...and Mahidevran says he doesn't want to share his father's love, just like I don't know how to share...he doesn't..

Nigar tells Hurrem to be careful, she is a gozde, they want her to make mistakes, she shouldn't let them get her in trouble. Nigar tells her to do well with Ibrahim, otherwise the end will be bad and to stop bothering Mahidevran and to worry about having a child. Hurrem says so I should play an idiot then? Nigar tells her to sleep...

Now Ibrahim comes to the balcony and sees Hatice, so he stares at her and he says "Sweet dreams, Hatice Sultan" under his breath and she happens to look up and sees him....She goes over to the other side of the balcony and they smile at each other....

The next day, Hurrem is alone and she finds a pigeon and she says in a monologue, that she will not tell anyone her pain, she wont share her hurt with anyone, she will throw it into the sea, she says her tears for her family will be nothing. She is Alexandra la Rossa...and she will become Hurrem Sultan one day.... At breakfast she greets everyone and greets them nicely, instead of getting into fights, and they all ignore her. Maria calls her and they all leave the table...Maria tells her not to worry about them, and Hurrem says, they got the gold and they sold me...Meanwhile, Mustafa comes to his father later and Ibrahim and they are playing a game. Ibrahim goes stands next to Hatice.

Later, Nigar is sending the girls off in a line somewhere when Mahidevran arrives in the hallway - Gulshah calls out to Hurrem "Alexandra! Who is this Russian slaves teacher? Tell them to teach her some manners." Hurrem goes up to Mahidevran and puts her hand on her chest and bows to her. Mahidevran walks away without saying anything. 

Hatice asks why he hasn't played the violin as she has missed it. Ibrahim says as long as she wishes it, he will continue playing. He has a note under his sleeve and he pulls it out and drops it on the ground in front of her. She picks it up under the pretense of picking up her handkerchief...

Hurrem goes through her lessons in class by daydreaming about Suleyman. Maria pulls her out of her thoughts and Hurrem writes the word "Ask" (love) on the paper....

Mahidevran is with Gulfem about the way Hurrem behaved...Meanwhile, Valide is talking to Daye, as she has now come to know the trouble about the ring. Meanwhile, Gulfem says to  "trust me Sultanim"

Meanwhile, Hatice is walking and she goes to a safe spot to read the letter Ibrahim has sent her..."Stars rain down onto my dark nights, Sultanim, I bask in the light of your love (as in basking in the sunlight). The moon will be shy and run away. Ibrahim, your servant has become blind with this light. There is no recovery from it."

Later, Gulfem sees Ayse in the hallway, and tells her to come to talk to her...

Back in the classroom, Hurrem is lost in thought and Nigar tells her that class has finished. She tells Nigar that she wants to learn really well, so she can tell Suleyman everything...how all the girls always fight with her and Nigar says that she is always fighting with the girls...and it can't continue this way...she says that Valide Sultan will send her away. Hurrem asks for her help. Nigar says she cannot save her, but she should ask Sumbul, because Sumbul has all the secrets to the Harem....She tells her that with some gifts...some coins...he can do anything for her...

Gulfem warns Ayshe to be careful and carry out the plan...

Nigar sees Ayshe and asks what she is up to and she says she is going to her room...

Meanwhile, Hurrem has arrived at the agha's door and she asks for Sumbul, the agha at the door says alright wait.

Meanwhile Suleyman has gone out disguised in the market with Ibrahim. He asks where some material has come from and they say from Bursa and Venetian. Suleyman asks if the Venetian sells much and the merchant says, yes, mostly to the wealthy and other merchants...The Palace cook, Seker agha sees the Sultan...Ibrahim asks a merchant where he is from, and the man says from Rodus...Ibrahim asks would he like to go back to his hometown ever? The man says, if there was work and food, he would. The merchants say nice things about Suleyman not knowing the one in front of them is Suleyman. They say Suleyman will go all the way to Italy some day, that is how smart and powerful he is. Suleyman says nah, he won't? And another man says "yes he will, he is very intelligent"

Sumbul finally meets Hurrem and she says "Help me, let us talk alone" She says "you help me, I have lots of gold. I will give you lots of gold...the Sultan gave me, I will give you" Sumbul says leave that what do you want? What is in your mind. Hurrem says she wants Suleyman alone. She wants him for herself. She wants to be Sultana. She will make Sumbul like a prince. She calls him Suklum and he says ahahaha call me Sumbul agha! Sh gets it right and he nods. She hands him some coins and he says how quickly you learn...but it won't happen like this. I have conditions for you. You will do as I say.

Suleyman is walking through the markets disguised and finds a boy pouring water,  he asks the boy why he isn't going home it is late and why he doesn't go home. Then he asks if he goes to school and the boy responds that he does not go to school because he must earn money, his mother is ill. Suleyman asks where his father is and the boy replies that his father is dead. Suleyman is sad about this. Asks his name, which is Ayyup, and then tells Ibrahim that his mother is to be paid a pension and the boy to be enrolled in school.

In the hamam, Hurrem is washing herself not talking to anyone because no one is talking to her she puts her ring down and Ayse eyes it.

Valide and Mahidevran are eating and Valide tells Mahi not to be negligent in her eating and drinking and to be happy so her pregnancy is a good and healthy one...

Hurrem meanwhile cannot find her ring and she yells at the girls to give her back her ring and Nigar yells at them to leave the hamam. Hurrem says that no one will leave the harem because her ring is missing!

Valide and Mahi try to convince Mustafa to go to bed and he finally accepts. Daye arrives and tells Valide that there has been a fight in the harem and that Hurrem's ring has been stolen. Valide looks suspiciously at Mahidevran who comments that Hurrem must have taken it herself...

In the tophane (Armoury where they manufactured canons), Suleyman watches the canon makers. Ibrahim wonders if they are going back to the palace, but Suleyman says he wishes to watch until the morning...

Hatice looks up at the place where Ibrahim usually plays the violin but doesn't see him there. Gulfem asks what response will she give and Hatice says that even if she wrote how could she get it to him...

Nigar makes the girls stand in a line and Sumbul and Daye present as well. Daye says that a ring has gone missing, Hurrem Hatun's ring, a present from Suleyman and that hopefully this will come out in the open. The kalfas start searching the cariyes. Ayse looks nervous and Nigar notices..

Suleyman makes some changes to the canon manufacturing...

The kalfas have not found anything and Sumbul tell Hurrem it hasn't been found. Daye says that they should speak up if they know anything otherwise tomorrow will be too late. Hurrem tells Maria that she knows that Mahidevran has taken the ring.

Meanwhile, Mahi is admiring the ring in her room. She puts it on her finger, smiles and puts it back in her closet hurriedly when she hears noises in the hall...

In the morning the girls are standing in a line when Suleyman arrives. The girls bow and he stops at Hurrem and gives her the purple handkerchief.

Gulfem meanwhile tells Ibrahim that Hatice will meet him in the main gardens. Suleyman suddenly exits his chambers and asks Ibrahim why he is so happy today and Ibrahim says that it is a beautiful day, the sun is shining...

Meanwhile, in Valide's room, Mahi nervously looks at Valide when she asks Daye how the search for the ring is going...when she pricks herself with the needle, Valide tells her to be careful and where her mind has gone...Gulfem and Hatice are there and Hatice sees from Gulfem's expression that she has told Ibrahim about their meeting later at night...

Suleyman is in the Divan and Hungary's King Louis has sent a gift....

Meanwhile in his Castle, Louis says Suleyman will not even dare to do what his father and grandfathers could not do...

Back in Topkapi, Ibrahim says there is something honey like in the jar...then they pull out the honey head....Suleyman sees the head of his ambassador Behram Cavus and is angry he swears revenge on Loius...

Hurrem says to Sumbul that when the Sultan asks about his ring at night she will tell him it's lost...Sumbul looks nervous about this...

Hatice is in the gardens waiting when Ibrahim arrives...she goes to him near the back of the gardens away from sight...Ibrahim asks if she is angry for him being late as she was worried...he senses she is upset with him, so he says he is very sorry and will never write again...she says no, please write! She shows she loves him back! He is happy to hear that she has returned his love!!!

Sumbul comes to Ibrahim and informs him of the missing ring...

Suleyman paces angrily in the Divan and that he will go to the place where the ambassador's blood was spilled and it will not be a lesson for Lious (becuase he will kill him) but a lesson to the rest of the world....

Ibrahim scolds Nigar for not informing him about the ring issue and asks who stole it. Nigar is silent. Nigar says she doesn't want to falsely accuse, but....she doubts someone...he sends her to get that person and he will wait...

Ayse looks nervous and Nigar appears and calls her. They go to Ibrahim's office. There Ayse enters, looking nervous. Ibrahim tells her to sit and she says she is innocent and that she didn't steal it, Ibrahim says "Did I call you to ask if you stole it? I asked you to cme here to clean up! Did you forget, I sent you to the Sultan! Because of me, you were chosen as a gozde (a concubine). I do not want you to be harmed. But if you do not help me..." She speaks up: "I did not want this to happen..." Ibrahim: "Who did this? Speak up."

Valide arrives and Ibrahim tells her that Mahidevran has stolen the ring. Valide asks if he is certain and he says he would not say it if he was not certain. Valide tells him she will handle it and that no one should hear about this.

Daye goes to Mahi's room and tells her Valide has called her and it is urgent. Mahi looks worried, but goes. Gulfem is about to leave too, but Daye stops her "I know exactly what things you are mixed up in. Now you will take the ring out and give it to me. Gulshah takes her to the ring and gives it to her.

Mahi goes to Valide who says "come my beautiful Haseki, come" Mahi sits beside her. "I had some fruit juice prepared for you, drink, it will be good for you. What could be more important than your health and that of my grandchild?" Mahi drinks but looks nervous....why has Valide called her?

Suleyman works on his map and Suleyman wonders where he has been. He is working on the war map and Suleyman asks Belgrade or Budin? and Ibrahim shows him what he would do going from the Danube River up through different places until Vienna . Suleyman remarks that if he had shown this to the Pashas in the Divan they would be shocked, but that he likes it!

The ambassador is writing a letter, saying that the Sultan has began manufacturing of canons and that the war will come to Budin Palace soon...

Daye calls for a search of the cariyes beds again. The girls wonder why since it has already been searched. Daye pretends the ring comes from one of the cariye's beds. A blonde girl who looks confused because she didn't do anything. The girls swears she didn't! Ayse looks relieved and guilty but is silent. Hurrem gets her ring back, and Daye tells her not to take it off till she dies and Hurrem is not convinced...she tells Maria that they framed the poor girl, she did not steal it, that Mahi did it, and they sacrificed the girl. She tells Maria that Suleyman is waiting...

Meanwhile, Mahi is getting ready and yells at the girl who drops her mirror. Gulshah looks troubled and Mahi asks her whats wrong. Gulshah says that she saw that woman going for halvet and Mahidevran cries out...

Hurrem is with Suleyman "Hurrem...you are a gift from heaven" Hurrem: "Suleyman...I want something..." Suleyman: "Whatever you wish for!" Hurrem: "I want to believe the same as you do...when you look at the sun, I want to look with your eyes...the God you believe in, I wish to believe in Him." Suleyman: "You want to be a Muslim?" Hurrem: "Yes" Suleyman: "You want this from your own heart?" Hurrem: "My heart wants it. Is it not possible?" Suleyman: "I will be your heart's, soul's slave Hurrem!" He gets her a veil to put over her head and tells her to repeat after him the testimony of faith: "I bear witness in the oneness of God, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the servant and messenger of God." She repeats after him. Then he explains to her what it means. He kisses her forehead and looks at her lovingly.

Mahidevran is crying. Gulshah tells her not to cry and Valide enters and orders Gulshah to leave. She tells Mahi to behave and stop crying and tells her she knows about the ring and all the trouble she caused for it, and tells her to be silent and sit quietly and that she won't save her again and not to make any more mistakes. Mahidevran goes checking for the ring and finds that it is gone. She falls down crying.

Suleyman tells Hurrem about being a Muslim. Ibrahim meanwhile plays the violin for Hatice who watches from her balcony...

The next morning, Mahidevran wakes up and is in pain. She finds blood on her bed and realizes she has miscarried her baby. She screams out and Gulshah sees what has happened and calls out for the doctor to be brought. Hurrem leaves the Sultan's room and greets Ibrahim who does not smile and she wonders why. Suleyman is getting dressed and Ibrahim says he has bad news but Suleyman says I am too happy today don't bring bad news...when he sees Ibrahim's face, he says alright tell me...Ibrahim informs him of Mahidevran's miscarriage.

Mahi is walking down the hall towards the Sultan's room and comes across Hurrem. Mahi wals to her and grabs her arm "You did it!" Hurrem: "What did I do?" Mahi: "Get up! I said get up!!!! You did it! You killed my baby!" She beats Hurrem "Because of my sadness my baby died! Because of my sadness! Because of my grief! Because of you!" she realizes Hurrem is unconscious.....
